Azma Bokhari dismisses allegations of flour supply blockade

Punjab Minister for Information Azma Bokhari on Sunday clarified that there is no restriction on the movement of flour in the province, 24NewsHD TV channel reported.
In a statement, Azma Bokhari said, “Supply of four is continuing in Punjab in a transparent manner, which is disturbing some people.”
She said if there is a flour shortage in the Khyber Pukhtunkhwa, then the KP government should release the wheat which is stored in the godowns or purchase the same from PASCO.
Azma Bokhari said that Punjab cannot sacrifice the rights of its people for the political spectacles of another province.
Azma Bokhari said that around 200 flour mills are closed in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. 
She advised the Chief Minister of KP to focus on the flour shortage in the province instead of staging a sit-in opposite Adiyala Jail. 
“Political slogans and Maula Jatt's flares do not ignite the people's hearts”. Azma Bokhari concluded by saying.
She said that currently 8,85,000 metric tons of wheat worth Rs100 billion is already stored in the godowns.
Azma Bokhari said that the Digital Recording System is declared mandatory only to halt profiteering and storage.
She said that the Punjab government is paying Rs3,000 per mound to flour millers only to provide cheap bread to the people and keep the price of wheat stable.
