Prisoner dies in Adiala Jail due to cardiac arrest
Three prisoners in Rawalpindi Adiala Jail were shifted to Rawalpindi Institute of Cardiology (RIC) due to severe heart problems, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Sunday.
According to jail sources, one prisoner named Mumtaz Iqbal died while being transferred to the hospital.
Rawalpindi Institute of Cardiology (RIC) refused to take the deceased prisoner.
The deceased prisoner Mumtaz Iqbal was arrested in a drug case at the Kallar Syedan police station.
Among the prisoners shifted to the hospital is Ismatullah Khan, who is arrested in the murder case of a married woman at the Pirwadhai police station.
Ismatullah Khan had held a jirga and decided to kill the married woman, Sidra Arab.
Among those shifted to the hospital is also the prisoner Malik Hammad.
Malik Hammad is also arrested in the murder case.
