Cops arrested for thrashing doctor in Lahore

A police head constable Gulfam and constable Islam Shahri have now been booked and arrested on Saturday for thrashing a doctor outside the gate of Foreign Ministry’s Camp Office in Lahore, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Lahore Omer Sheikh took notice of the incident of torture on Dr Numan outside the Camp Office on Friday and after inquiry’s completion both head constable Gulfam and constable Islam Shahri were found responsible for keeping the citizen in custody illegally.
A case has been registered against the guilty officials while CCPO Lahore Omar Sheikh condemned the incident and behaviour shown by the policemen.
In the video circulating on social media, the doctor can be seen saying to the policemen that he was a doctor working in the Punjab Institute of Cardiology (PIC).
