The Punjab government has closed the educational institutes in the whole of the province till Eid, reported 24NewsHD.

School Education Department has issued a notification in this regard. According to the notification, all the educational institutes in the province will remain close from April 29 till the Edi-ul-Fitr.

Punjab Education Minister Dr Murad Raas also tweeted the notification and wrote: “All Public and Private Schools in Punjab to be closed starting April 29, 2021, till Eid due to conditions of COVID 19. No exceptions.”

Earlier, the Punjab government had closed the educational institutes in only those districts where the positivity ratio of the coronavirus cases was 5percent or more.

However, now the School Education Department has totally closed the educational activities in the whole province on the direction of the NCOC.

Earlier, the NCOC has also banned Eid and tourism travel across the country from May 8.
