WhatsApp appears to be looking to the future, as it is said to be developing a high-tech messaging system in which users dictate messages to a pair of glasses.

Users will be able to send messages to family and friends without having to type them out by simply speaking them out loud to their smart glasses.

It was discovered by mobile software XDA Developers, who discovered references to the feature hidden in the code of the WhatsApp beta and is linked to the Ray-Ban Stories, which are smart glasses created by WhatsApp’s parent company, Facebook.

Here’s everything you need to know about WhatsApp’s upcoming smart glass texting feature.

What are Ray-Ban Stories?

Facebook will release smart glasses that can take photos and videos.

In 2021, EssilorLuxottica and Ray-Ban launched Ray-Ban Stories, a collaboration between the two companies.
