Pakistan have won the toss and elected to bowl first against New Zealand in first One Day International (ODI) of the five-match series, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Thursday.

The match is being played between the two teams at Rawalpindi cricket stadium. Skipper Babar Azam is leading the home side.

The ODI series offers both sides an opportunity to learn from each other’s strengths and weaknesses ahead of the World Cup.

Earlier, Tom Latham-led New Zealand team had surprised the home side after it roared back from 2-0 down to win the third and fifth matches, with the fourth abandoned after rain in the five-match T20I series.
