Pakistan reports 2 more coronavirus deaths, 301 new cases

Pakistan reported 2 more coronavirus deaths and 301 new cases that emerged during the last 24 hours (Sunday), showed the data released by the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) on Monday morning.

According to the statistics released by NCOC, after the addition of 6 new deaths, the toll has now surged to 28,909, which represents a ratio of 2.2 percent.

The positivity ratio of the coronavirus cases in Pakistan reaches 0.68 percent, as 301 new coronavirus cases emerged in the last 24 hours after conducting 44,129 tests. It takes the total cases tally to 1,293,715.

The number of active cases in the country is 9,831 with 625 patients in critical condition.

There were 116 more recoveries recorded in the last 24 hours as the number of total recovered cases reached 1,254,975 with a 97% recovery rate.

Punjab

Punjab, the most populous province of the country, has reported 57 new cases in the last 24 hours, taking the provincial tally to 444,610 with 2,553 active cases. In Punjab, 1 more patient died of coronavirus as the death toll reached 13,064. With 36 new recoveries, 428,993 patients have recovered from the virus in Punjab so far.

Sindh

Sindh has recorded 185 new cases during the last 24 hours taking the provincial tally to 480,710 with 6,265 active cases. There was one new death reported related to the deadly disease as the death toll in Sindh reached 7,662. With 20 new recoveries, 466,783 patients have recovered from the virus in the province so far.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has recorded 31 new cases during the last 24 hours taking the tally to 181,235 with 583 active cases. The province reported no new virus-related death as the death toll reached 5,922. With 52 new recoveries, 174,730 patients have recovered from the virus in the province so far.

Balochistan

Balochistan recorded no new cases as the tally remained 33,624 with 89 active cases. The province reported no new death as the death toll reached 363. With 4 new recoveries, 33,172 patients have recovered from the virus in the province so far.

Islamabad

Islamabad has recorded no new cases during the last 24 hours taking the tally to 108,450 with 294 active cases. With no new death reported in the Federal Capital, the death toll remained 966. With no new recovery as wells, the number of recovered patients is 107,190 in the federal capital so far.

Azad Jammu and Kashmir

Azad Jammu and Kashmir recorded 2 new cases during the last 24 hours as the tally reached 34,657 with 43 active cases. With no new death reported, the death toll remains at 746. There were 3 new recoveries in the AJK as 33,868 patients have recovered so far from the virus.

Gilgit-Baltistan

Gilgit-Baltistan recorded no new cases during the last 24 hours, as the tally remained 10,429 with 4 active cases. With no new death reported in the province, the death toll remains at 186. With one new patient recovered, patients recovered from the deadly disease reached 10,239.
