Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) President Ahsan Bhoon advocate paid high tribute to the assassinated leader of the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Benazir Bhutto on her 14th anniversary on Monday.

According to the 24News HD TV channel, the SCBA president in a statement said Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto set high standards of self-respect, self-control and truth in politics.

Bhoon said Benazir Bhutto was a leader with a unique and charismatic personality who fought all her life for the rule of law, the supremacy of the constitution and the promotion of democratic values.

He said Benazir Bhutto always highlighted the soft image of Pakistan and raised awareness against extremism, perhaps this was the reason for her assassination,

The SCBA president said politicians should strive for a better Pakistan following the guiding principles of Benazir Bhutto. Her everlasting sacrifices will always be remembered, he concluded.
