The incident took place in the Nazimabad Paposhnagar area where a youth named Abdul Ghani was detained by the police, at the time when he was with his brother.

In a video, it can be seen that student Abdul Ghani was picked up by a police patrol team.

Rao Muhammad Abdul Ghani is a student of second-year commerce studies.

Police used abusive words for him and at one moment the student was tortured in presence of two more police mobile vans at Nazimabad Khilafah Chowk.

Taking notice of the incident, DIG West Asim Qaim Khani directed the SP Liaquatabad to conduct an inquiry.

The inquiry found eight policemen including in plainclothes responsible, including the SHO, the ASI and the head muharrar. A case was filed against the incident at Paposh Nagar police station on the complaint of the government but completely against the scenes seen on CCTV.

The plain-clothed men who tortured Abdul Ghani can be clearly seen in the CCTV showed as an ‘unknown’ person in the FIR, the TV channel reported.

Abdul Ghani's father said that the whole family has not come out of the fear after the incident.

On the other hand, the police are trying to save the real ‘culprits’ and no arrest has so far been made despite the notice of the senior officers, the TV channel reported.
