Amid the devastating developments in the murder case of Mustafa Amir, his grieving mother, Ms Wajiha Amir, made an impassioned plea for justice, declaring that a single death sentence is not enough for the prime accused, Armaghan Qureshi.

“Fighting this battle is not for everyone,” she told 24NewsHD in an exclusive interview. “Armaghan deserves to be hanged again and again!”

She also questioned the security system’s failure, highlighting how the vehicle carrying her son passed multiple security checkpoints from Karachi to Hub without being stopped.

“Why was the car never checked? This raises serious concerns about our security system,” she said.

In a heartbreaking revelation, she wondered if things could have been different. “If Sheraz stopped Armaghan from torturing that girl and got her admitted to the hospital, then why didn’t he stop him for my son?”

Recalling the horrifying moment she learned about her son's murder, she said, “When the DIG CIA announced my son’s death in a press conference on TV channels, I immediately turned it off. For two hours, I refused to believe it because I had been searching for my son alive since January 6.”

She further stated that she held onto hope until the very last moment. “I truly believed that I would find my son alive. But when the news came, my entire world shattered.”

Ms. Wajiha also dismissed Armaghan’s claim that he was under the influence of drugs at the time of the crime. “If he was so intoxicated, how did he drive all the way to Hub without even using Google Maps?”

Mustafa Amir disappeared on January 6, and his mother filed a missing person report the next day. However, the case took a shocking turn when a ransom call was received on January 25.

A major police raid on February 9 resulted in a violent standoff and the eventual arrest of Armaghan Qureshi. The accused initially claimed that he had disposed of Mustafa’s body in Malir but later retracted his statement.

Investigators later discovered that Mustafa was murdered over a dispute involving a girl, with Armaghan’s alleged accomplice, Shiraz, also playing a key role in the crime. Authorities are now making efforts to record the girl’s statement, but the process has become complicated since she fled to the United States after the murder.

Law enforcement agencies have now approached Interpol to help locate and contact the girl, whose testimony is crucial to uncovering the full truth behind Mustafa’s tragic murder.
