Maya Ali says critics are ‘illiterate’

Pakistani actors Maya Ali and Bilal Ashraf appeared in “Something Haute with Hassan Chaudhry” to promote and talk about their upcoming project ‘Yunhi.’
Maya Ali expressed her concerns about today's critics throughout the conversation and criticized them for being overly harsh. According to Maya Ali, those who are criticizing us and our dramas are those who are unaware of the letter R in the review.
“I have a request from all the critics that when you review any drama, you just watch the first episode and make judgement about the drama. There are 25 episodes of the drama and nobody knows what would happen in the next episodes of the drama. However, your judgment from the pilot episode ultimately affects the entire project.”
Ali furthered that there are many actors who feel this thing but they remain tight-lipped. They are the ones who stand on one leg all night long in winter while shooting, and in the summer they shoot in the sweltering sun.
“I feel it’s very easy to give a review while sitting in an air conditioned room.”
If you're really interested in reviewing the dramas, Ali continued, you should also work with us for 90 days. Only then you will be able to understand that how a person is commuting from home and what kind of work they are doing.
The ‘Mann Mayal’ actress then established that the actors are very sensitive and critics should think before spewing venom and negativity about dramas.
She then exclaimed that the most critics lack the critique skills and waste no time in making a judgement. Actors can withstand criticism but it should be constructive one.
