Pakistan Stock Exchange gains 613 points

Setting aside all the negativity generated by the coronavirus crisis, the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) gained 613 points with the KSE-100 Index closing at 38,221.16 on Monday.
The previous close of the market was at 37,607.62 points. As per the PSX data portal, as of 4:14 PM the shares have gained an upward trend with an increase of 613.54 point (1.663percent).
Pakistan Stock Exchange was more or less flat on Friday as the KSE-100 Index closed at 37,607.62 after a gain of 29.41 points. On a day when 189,683,288 shares were traded, the share prices of 182 companies shrank and 144 made gains while there was no change in the value of 16.
In this way, the KSE-100 Index made a net gain of only 276.77 points during the week after the great flourish in the first half of this month.
With the index closing June at 34,421.92, the overall gain in the current month now stands at 3,185.70 points. It remains to be seen whether this week’s performance represents a plateau followed by a downward movement or the market will pick up the momentum again in the coming days.
