FIA submits report to court in cyber crime case against Dania Shah

The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) on Wednesday submitted to a sessions court in Karachi report in connection with the hearing of a petition filed against Dania Shah, late religious scholar Aamir Liaquat Hussain’s widow, seeking action against her under the Cyber Crime Act, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Amir Jameel Virk Advocate, counsel for a social organisation, petitioner in the case, on the occasion told the court that the act of uploading obnoxious videos of late Dr Aamir on social media by Dania was a cognizable offence under the section 20 I-D of the FIA’s Cyber Crime Act.
He went on to say that any citizen, who had seen these videos, was free to register an FIR against the late religious scholar’s widow.
The FIA, on the occasion, sought time from the court for holding consultations with senior officials in this regard.
Later the court adjourned the hearing of the case until July 30, 2022.
