Power pilferage cost Rs15.25b in a year

A Rs15.25 billion power was pilfered in a year, 24NewsHD TV channel reported Sunday.

Sources said a sum of Rs4.67 billion was recovered while a total of 36,981 FIRs have been registered against power thieves.

The insiders stated that 832 power pilferers were arrested and action was also taken against 124 employees of power companies.
