The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) in its top-brass meeting on Monday expressed serious concerns over the role of the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) against the violations in the elections.
According to the 24News HD TV channel, the political committee of PTI reviewed in detail the overall political situation in the country and future course of action.
The meeting was attended by Central Secretary General Asad Umar and other central and regional leaders.
The meeting condemned in the strongest terms the worst lawlessness and sedition of the ruling party during the first phase of local body elections in Sindh.
The Committee expressed its deep concern over the failure of the ECP to hold clean, transparent and credible elections.
The meeting also expressed deep concern over the complaints of pre-election rigging by the ruling coalition during the by-elections in 20 constituencies of Punjab.
The meeting also expressed satisfaction over the decisive victory of PTI in the PK-7 Swat by-elections. The meeting was also briefed on preparations for holding a grand protest rally on July 2 at the Parade Ground in Islamabad.
PTI Chairman Imran Khan said that only a peaceful democratic movement of true freedom will lead the nation out of the catastrophe in which slaves have thrown it.
He said the governments of thieves in Sindh and Punjab are busy looting elections while the ECP is a silent spectator.
Imran Khan said the whole democratic system is being put at stake to keep the slaves in control of the nation.
