Gilgit-Baltistan Chief Minister-elect to take oath on July 1

Gilgit-Baltistan's Chief Minister-elect Amjad Hussain Advocate will take the oath of office on July 1 at a ceremony to be held at the Chief Minister's Secretariat in Gilgit, 24NewsHD TV reported on Saturday.

According to official sources, invitations for the swearing-in ceremony have begun to be distributed, while arrangements for the event are underway.

Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari is expected to attend the ceremony along with other senior party leaders and government officials.

Amjad Hussain Advocate was elected Chief Minister of Gilgit-Baltistan unopposed on June 22 after securing the support of the assembly members.

The oath-taking ceremony will formally mark the beginning of his tenure as the new Chief Minister, with expectations that the new administration will outline its governance and development priorities for the region in the coming days.
