A local court in Lahore on Friday sought a report from police on their inability to register a case against the two TikTok girls, Hareem Shah and Sandal Khattak, despite the earlier orders.
Additional Sessions Judge Amir Habib, who was hearing the matter in Lahore, adjourned the proceedings till April 8 after issuing notice to the relevant police station.
During the hearing, the applicant argued that the court had ordered registration of a case against the two media stars but the police did not do so despite the court orders.
Describing the issue as a contempt of court, he requested the judge to pass the necessary directives and launch contempt of court proceedings.
The now-famous TikTok girl, Hareem Shah, has been in the news for quite a while now after getting embroiled in a controversy pertaining to a viral video shot at the Foreign Office last year. Since then she has become a social media sensation.
On the other hand, Sandal Khattak had filed a petition with a court, requesting that the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) should be restricted from conducting an inquiry against her.
In her petition, she maintained that the FIA was harassing her and she had no clue as to what the investigation was about.
However, the FIA had denied the allegations.
