Two women were murdered in different areas of Lahore on Saturday morning, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

In the first incident, a 40-year-old woman was shot dead on resistance during a dacoity in Mughalpura area.

The deceased’s sister and nephew were also injured in the incident, who were shifted to a hospital for emergency medical treatment.

The victim was identified as Shaheen Bibi was visiting her sister’s house in Mughalpura when the dacoity took place. 

Police have shifted her body to morgue for post-mortem.

Police said they were looking into the murder from all angles including the alleged dacoity.

CCPO Lahore Ghulam Mahmood Dogar has taken notice of the murder in Mughalpura and sought a report from SP Civil Lines.

CCPO Dogar ordered immediate arrest of the culprits, directing the police investigator to get assistance from Safe City and other CCTV cameras installed in the area.

He also ordered the concerned police station to enhance snap checking in the area.

In the second incident, a 26-year-old woman was shot dead inside her house in Shahdara.

Unidentified attacker(s) stormed into Tahreen’s house and shot her dead.

The police shifted the body to a hospital for post-mortem and launched an investigation into the murder.
