Punjab CM Maryam okays setting up of three narcotics control police stations

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has given approval for setting up three police stations for narcotics control, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The Punjab CM Maryam Nawaz was presiding over a review meeting of Excise and Taxation and Narcotics Control departments on Wednesday.
The CM was agreed on the proposal to create a new department for anti-narcotics.
Maryam Nawaz instructed to clear the backlog of registration plates of motor vehicles.
Those people who are not in the tax net should be brought into the tax net, Maryam Nawaz instructed.
She stressed that tax on houses needs to be rationalized.
The CM instructed to make assessment report on difference in tax according to rental value and DC rate.
A tax consultancy unit will be set up, the chief minister approved.
During meeting the CM was briefed that 13 excise check posts will be established to prevent smuggling and drug smuggling.
It was briefed that e-title document for e-registration of vehicles is launched due to which 12.5 percent increase in tax collection was recorded.
Revival of opium factory was reviewed and pharmaceuticals will get benefit of Rs900 million, it was briefed.
The Excise Department will provide services through knock-on program.
Excise Department will also work with Safe City Authority for recovery of challan.
Former Senator Pervez Rasheed, MPA Sania Ashiq, Chief Secretary, Secretaries Finance, Excise and other officials participated in the meeting.
