Shehbaz vows to put hurdles in passage of anti-people budget: Demands pre-budget session
Before the meeting of parliamentary leaders of Pakistan Democratic Movement slated to be held on May 29, Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam (Fazl) President Maulana Fazlur Rehman and PML-N President Shehbaz Sharif will meet up to deliberate on People’s Party and ANP’s return to the anti-government alliance, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
PDM President Maulana Fazlur Rehman on Thursday invited PML-N leader and Opposition leader in National Assembly Shehbaz Sharif to a dinner to be hosted on Friday (tomorrow). After dinner, both the leaders will hold an important discussion regarding the return of the Pakistan People’s Party and ANP into the folds of the PDM alliance.
Shehbaz on upcoming budget
In another development, PML-N President Shehbaz on Thursday issued important instructions to the economic advisory council of the party regarding the upcoming 2021/22 budget session.
He said his party would oppose the budget-making and put up a resistance in the passage of the anti-people budget.
Shehbaz demanded a pre-budget session so that people could become aware of the real state of the economy. He said it is important that people should know how twiddling with the economic realities was being done to present a wrong picture of the economy.
He asked the economic experts to apprise the people of the economic realities in the pre-budget seminar.
Shehbaz said the country had to suffer billions of rupees loss due to wrong figures regarding wheat production, adding that the government wanted to repeat the same thing.
He lamented that poor people of Pakistan were paying the price of the government’s bungling in the shape of controlling inflation.
