Father, sons thrashed for opposing setting up of brick kilns

Father and his two sons were mercilessly beaten by some men when the former stopped them from setting up brick kilns on a roadside in tehsil Chobara of district Layyah, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Monday.
Ameer Afzal and his sons Fasih and Zulqurnain were seriously injured due to the torture, while Chobara police registered a case against eight nominated and 10 unidentified persons.
Meanwhile, locals have also protested against the setting up of brick kilns in their area, saying they may fall sick because of the pollution these kilns will cause.
They have demanded the authorities to shift these kilns outside the residential areas.
They said whenever they asked these influential people to relocate these brick kilns from Chobara, they let loose their animals on them.
