Taylor Swift in Santa Barbara to fulfill her ‘flower girl’ promise for Selena Gomez’s wedding

Taylor Swift has arrived in California to attend the wedding of her longtime best friend Selena Gomez, keeping a lighthearted promise she once made to serve as the singer’s “flower girl.”

Swift, 35, touched down in Santa Barbara, flying in from Kansas City. She was spotted stepping off her private jet in a chic black short-sleeve top, carrying a matching handbag.

At the same time, her security team unloaded several small bags, a garment bag, and a large white box,  possibly containing her outfit for the star-studded ceremony.

The Cruel Summer hitmaker was later seen leaving the small airport in a three-car convoy, reportedly en route to the luxurious Rosewood Miramar Beach resort in Montecito,  a celebrity-favourite property where rooms start at over $1,000 a night.

Though Swift made the trip solo, her fiancé, NFL star Travis Kelce, was unable to join her due to his upcoming game with the Kansas City Chiefs against the Baltimore Ravens this Sunday.

Still, Taylor wasn’t going to miss one of the biggest milestones in Gomez’s life. The 33-year-old Only Murders in the Building actress and singer is set to marry record producer Benny Blanco, 37, in an intimate ceremony this weekend.

According to insiders, the celebrations began Friday evening with a rehearsal dinner, while the main event is scheduled for Saturday in Goleta, a picturesque town just north of Santa Barbara.

The private estate venue, surrounded by palm trees and sprawling lawns, has been decorated with white tents and strings of fairy lights to create a romantic garden setting.

Security at the location has been significantly tightened, with Gomez reportedly spending nearly $300,000 to ensure privacy for her 300 celebrity guests. Among those expected to attend are Paris Hilton and Gomez’s Only Murders in the Building co-stars, Martin Short and Steve Martin,  with Gomez joking earlier that “Marty’s the ring bearer.”

Gomez and Blanco, who began dating in mid-2023, got engaged in December 2024. Blanco reportedly proposed with a dazzling diamond ring worth around $1 million.
