Pakistani star cricketer Shahid Afridi Wednesday made a call to Shehbaz Sharif and congratulates him on his release from jail after long time detention, reported 24NewsHD TV Channel.

Afridi shared his pleasant feeling and well-wishes with Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) President Shehbaz Sharif declaring his release as a blessing of the holy month of Ramazan.

Shehbaz Sharif, who is the head of the main rival of the incumbent Prime Minister and legendary cricketer-turned-politician Imran Khan in national politics, thanked Shahid Afridi for his wishes.

Shehbaz was released from Kot Lakhpat Jail after the Lahore High Court granted him bail on April 14. Party leaders along with a good number of workers received Shehbaz Sharif from prison and showered rose petals to celebrate his release. Former Chief Minister Punjab was jailed on 28th September last year in a money laundering reference by National Accountability Bureau (NAB).
