Sindh LG polls: First phase to begin from June 26

The first phase of the local government election in Sindh will be held in 14 districts from June 26.
According to the 24NewsHD TV channel, Returning officers issued the notice.
Candidates will submit nomination papers from May 10 to May 13. The scrutiny of nomination papers will be held from May 16 to May 18.
The ECP will allot election symbols to the eligible candidates on May 28 and the official result of the LG Elections Phase-I will be announced on June 30.
Reports said the elections are being held in light of a recent verdict of the Supreme Court (SC) on the Sindh Local Government Act of 2013, which had necessitated amendments to the existing LG law.
