Man arrested for alleged assault of two minor sisters in Lodhran

A 60-year-old man has been arrested following a reported sexual assault of two minor sisters in Lodhran, police said on Tuesday.

According to officials, the incident occurred in the jurisdiction of Saddar Police Station, where a case has been registered and the accused, identified as Saeed, has been taken into custody. Police confirmed that one of the affected sisters is a person with a disability.

Authorities stated that legal action has been initiated and an investigation is underway to ensure the case is pursued on merit.

District Police Officer Ali Bin Tariq emphasized that there would be no compromise on the protection and dignity of women, adding that immediate action is taken on every complaint. He said that providing justice to the vulnerable and oppressed remains the top priority of the police.

Police said further proceedings in the case are ongoing.
