Transfer of IHC judges redraws judicial hierarchy across provinces

The transfer of three judges from the Islamabad High Court to provincial high courts has significantly changed judicial seniority rankings, 24NewsHD TV reported on Tuesday. 

According to official sources, Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kayani, previously the most senior judge at the Islamabad High Court, will now rank 12th in the Lahore High Court following his transfer.

Justice Babar Sattar, who held the third position in the Islamabad High Court’s seniority list, will move to the Peshawar High Court, where he will take up the sixth position in terms of seniority.

Meanwhile, Justice Saman Rafit Imtiaz, formerly ranked sixth at the Islamabad High Court, will assume the 16th position after her transfer to the Sindh High Court.
