Two under-custody accused die in Lahore CCD encounter

Two accused were gunned down during a police encounter near Lahore, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Tuesday.

The police encounter took place in the Chung area of Lahore. Police officials said that a CCD team was taking the accused for recovery to Sundar when, suddenly, some accomplices of the accused started firing on the CCD team.

During the exchange of fire, both accused died. The dead accused were later identified as Alam Sher and Hashim, residents of Vehari.

Later, all the remaining accomplices of the accused escaped from the scene. CCD started a search operation to apprehend them.

Unknown assailants shoot man in Nawab Town

A man lost his life when some unknown armed assailants opened fire on him in Lahore at wee hours on Tuesday morning.

The incident took place in Nawab Town area of Lahore at 4 am.. The dead man was later identified as Nadeem Irshad.

Police said that a woman, Rukhsar, was also travelling with the deceased, but the assailants asked her to come out of the car, after which they opened fire on Nadeem Arshad, and he died on the spot.

Police said that all the assailants escaped from the scene after committing the crime.\
