PCB to take over Multan Sultans for coming PSL season: Naqvi
Naqvi says if Indian cricketers are not interested in handshake then Pakistan cricket team will do the same
Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Mohsin Naqvi has made it clear that all issues with India on sports will be handled on equal footings, adding that if Indian cricketers were not interested in handshake then Pakistan cricket team will do the same, reported 24NewsHD TV Channel.
Talking to media outside Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore, PCB chairman said that Pakistan does not want to drag politics in sports.
Talking about the future of Multan Sultan team, Mohsin Naqvi clarified that PCB itself will operate Multan Sultans team during coming PSL season. He said after the end of PSL 2026, PCB will auction Multan Sultan team.
PCB Chief announced that former test cricketer Wasim Akram has been appointed as brand ambassador for PSL 2026. Naqvi said that with the consent of all teams, PSL 2026 will be started from March 23, 2026.
PCB chief said work on state-of-the-art center at Cricket Academy will begin soon. Mohsin Naqvi asserted that on the advice of the government PCB was working to improve cricket structure and promote sports.
