The ANP has announced seven-day mourning over the murder of its provincial press secretary Asad Khan Achakzai.

The leadership gave a shutter-down strike and according to the provincial general secretary, the party flag will be flown half-mast at its offices.

Asad went missing in the Airport Road area of the Balochistan capital five months ago.

Police said they found the body of Asad found in the capital suburbs.

His colleague staged a sit-in at Quetta’s Manan Chowk and blocked the road in protest.

The deceased was a cousin of ANP provincial president Asghar Khan Achakzai.

Reports said lawmen arrested a man from Mastung in connection with the murder of Asad.
