Sindh Agriculture Minister and PPP’s senior leader Manzoor Hussain Wassan said on Tuesday that PTI Chairman Imran Khan will be disqualified in March, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Talking to media persons at his Kotdijji residency, 45 kilometres south of Khairpur, Manzoor Wassan said the coming months were important. Imran Khan would be facing cases in court and the cases against him which were closed would reopen. He said the court arrest movement will also fail completely.
The PPP leader said there was a huge difference between Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto and Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto’s court arrest drives and that of Imran’s fill the prison movement. These drives were entirely different from each other.
Benazir Bhutto and Zulfikar Ali Bhutto courted their arrest first and asked the leaders and activists to follow. They remained in prisons during fill-the-prison movement and contrary to that Imran Khan was afraid of going to jail.
This is the reason which is why other PTI leaders and activists were shying away from surrendering themselves to police authorities, he maintained.
“He said real leaders are not afraid of going to jail. Imran did not have the idea that no one will side with him during his court arrest drive,” he said.
Wassan said general elections will be held on time come what may.
