CTD Karachi arrests two Tehreek-e-Taliban terrorist financiers

The Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) in Karachi has arrested two alleged terrorists, who are said to be the members of defunct Tehreek-e-Taliban, reported 24NewsHD TV Channel Thursday.
According to the CTD officials, the arrested alleged terrorists belong to Khyber Pakhtukhwa and Balochistan provinces.
The CTD officials said the accused after their names surfaced during an ongoing investigation related to the terror-financing and both the accused are allegedly involved in financing the terrorists both in Pakistan and Afghanistan.
The CTD officials said both the accused were involved in smuggling of a banned chemical from Dubai and Tanzania to finance the terrorists.
The CTD officials also revealed that both accused have also invested tens of millions in businesses to generate funds for financing the terrorists.
According to the officials, the alleged terrorist financiers have been running an active network for smuggling a banned chemical since 2015.
This banned chemical, the aesthetic hydride is used to manufacture explosive materials as well as a deadly drug, heroin.
The CTD officials have also claimed that both the accused are also wanted by the international agencies.
