PML-N’s Azma Bukhari tests positive for coronavirus

Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Punjab Spokesperson Azma Bukhari too has tested positive for the coronavirus as the pandemic continues to spread in the country, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Friday.
Soon after learning about her ailment, Azma quarantined herself.
After the detection of the omicron variant of the coronavirus, some politicians and other important figures in Pakistan have been diagnosed with the virus recently.
Four days ago, on January 24, 2022, 24News had reported that Punjab Minister for Housing, Urban Development and Public Health Malik Asad Khokhar had tested positive for the virus.
Earlier on the same day, reports came that the ‘estranged’ leader of Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) Jahangir Khan Tareen and his wife had also been infected with the coronavirus.
Similarly, Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly and PML-N President Shehbaz Sharif too has contracted the pandemic of late.
