US dollar suffers loss against Pakistani rupee

The US dollar came under pressure against the Pakistani rupee in the interbank trading on Friday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

The greenback lost 28 paisas and was being traded at Rs176.70.

The dollar closed at Rs176.98 the previous day in the interbank trading.

The money market apparently awaiting the outcome of the IMF board meeting scheduled to be held on February 2 regarding the revival of Pakistan’s loan programme. The IMF Executive Board meeting will now take place on February 2 for Pakistan's sixth review under the Extended Fund Facility (EFF).
