The finance department of the government of Punjab on Wednesday withdrew the amount of Rs365 billion announced only a few days back for the completion of development projects in the province, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Thursday.

Sources told 24News that no reason was, however, given for that sudden decision by the provincial government.

“Out of the total amount, as many as Rs15 billion had been earmarked for development schemes in Lahore,” they elaborated.

CM Ch Pervaiz pays maiden visit to CM Office

Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi, who took oath as the Punjab chief minister yesterday (Wednesday, July 27, 2022) following the Supreme Court (SC) verdict that declared the Punjab Assembly deputy speaker’s ruling in the CM election case null and void, visited the CM Office on Thursday for the first time after taking oath of his office

A police contingent presented him the guard-of-honour.

Later, he met with the office staff and directed them to work hard.

On the other hand, members of the Punjab Assembly (MPAs) also felicitated him on taking office.
