Ruling Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf party’s 12 MNAs decided not to attend PM’s reception in honour of party parliamentarians.
Prime Minister Imran Khan invited leaders of the allied parties and party parliamentarians to a dinner at the PM House ahead of budget approval in the National Assembly.
The disgruntled party MNAs said that the prime minister had been ignoring them for the quite some time. Federal Defence Minister Pervez Khattak contacted the angry party parliamentarians and assured them of removing their concerns at the earliest.
Earlier, Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) and Balochistan National Party-Mengal (BNP-M) also decided not to attend Prime Minister Imran Khan’s dinner on Sunday.
The PTI coalition parties are not on smooth terms with the government at the moment and some of them have reservations to join the PM’s dinner.
Balochistan National Party-Mengal was the first coalition party that openly parted ways with the central government and then JWP also raised its reservations and reminded PTI of the promises that ought to be fulfilled. PML-Q has been raising their reservations for quite some time and now decided to skip PM’s dinner too.
