Pakistan heading to bright future, no peace in South Asia sans resolution of Kashmir issue: Field Marshal
Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir has said that Pakistan is moving towards bright future though country’s enemies are constantly trying to hinder progress, but our progress journey will continue, reported 24NewsHDTV Channel.
Addressing the commissioning parade of 123rd Midshipman and 31st Short Service Commission (SSC) courses, Field Marshal Asim Munir said that when Pakistan is close to victory in its war against terrorism, India is deliberately creating tension in the region.
Field Marshal said the world should realize that unless the Kashmir issue is resolved in a just and peaceful manner, there can never be lasting peace in South Asia. Field Marshal made it clear, “We will complete our war against terrorism and rid the country of this menace forever.”
He said, “during this times, Pakistan must remember the sacrifices of our Kashmiri brothers, who are struggling against India's illegal occupation.”
Field Marshal Asim Munir said Pakistan is a strong supporter of a just solution to the Kashmir issue, in accordance with UN resolutions and the wishes of the Kashmiri people.
Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir that Kashmiris struggle that India calls "terrorism" is actually a legitimate and legal struggle for freedom, which is also recognized by international law.”
Army Chief Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, referring to verse 54 of Surah Al-Imran, said; Allah Almighty says: "They plotted, and Allah planned, and Allah is the best of planners."
General Asim Munir also saluted all the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the right to self-determination in occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
Army Chief also paid tribute to the brave Kashmiris who are still engaged in the freedom struggle.
He said India's oppressive government can never dampen the courage and morale of Kashmiris, adding that Pakistan will continue to support Kashmiris politically, morally and diplomatically.
