Child injured in blade attack near Karachi coast

A child was seriously injured after a suspected drug addict attacked him with a blade in the Hajrat Colony area of Docks, residents said.

The incident took place in a wooded area near the sea, where the suspect allegedly demanded Rs20 from the child.

The injured child said the man attacked him with a blade after he refused to give him the money.

Residents said drug addicts had set up camps in the area near the sea and were involved in robbing and assaulting people.

They urged authorities to take action against criminal activity in the area.
