In this battle, Imam Hussain (R.A.) was empowered by the strength of Truth and shielded by sincerity. Armed with the spirit of courage and bravery, he stood as a bulwark against falsehood in the field of Karbala. Undoubtedly, the martyrdom of Imam Hussain (R.A.) is a victory for humanity and the supremacy of Islamic principles. We must pledge that we will leave no stone unturned in curbing extremism and intolerance, upholding Islamic traditions, and working for the progress and prosperity of our country.On the plains of Karbala, Hazrat Imam Hussain (R.A.) and his 72 companions displayed unparalleled resolve and steadfastness against the Yazidi army. Today, the Muslim Ummah has cast this message aside. We consider it sufficient to merely remember and mention the great sacrifice of Hazrat Imam Hussain (R.A.) on the day of Ashura, believing we have fulfilled our duty, whereas “Truth be told, the debt remains unpaid.”

It is essential to remember the sacrifices of Hazrat Imam Hussain (R.A.) and his noble companions throughout the year and to act according to their message. The event of Karbala gives us the message to stand against the oppressor, yet at this very moment, while a bloodbath ensues in Palestine, while oppression and atrocities continue against Kashmiris, and while Iran has become a target of Zionist aggression, the Muslim Ummah lies fast asleep, wrapped in a cloak of silence. The people of Palestine and Kashmir look toward us, but unfortunately, we have failed to understand the message of Karbala. How shall we escape this question on the Day of Judgment:

“When a Karbala was taking place in Palestine, where were you?” The Battle of Karbala is sufficient to open the eyes of Muslims around the world and show them how the exalted Imam, though alone and unarmed, confronted the massive armies of false powers. May Allah Almighty grant us the strength to incorporate the true message of the Day of Ashura and the spirit of sacrifice into our lives. The month of Muharram reminds us of those luminous chapters of Islamic history where eternal tales of sacrifice, patience, perseverance, and selfless struggle for the sake of religion are inscribed. This is the month to overcome our weaknesses and move forward with renewed resolve and courage, making the pleasure of Allah Almighty the ultimate goal of our lives.
