Ahead of Easter and Good Friday celebrations of Christian community, Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif announced a bonus for Christian workers of Lahore Waste Management Company (LWMC), reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

CM Maryam Nawaz announced Rs5000 bonus for each Christian worker on the occasion of Good Friday and Easter. The LWMC HR department issued the notification.

According to the notification, 9199 sanitary workers, 73 supervisors, 250 drivers, 6 helpers will be given bonuses. A zero waste operation will be conducted across the city before the Good Friday holiday.

Talking to media, Lahore Waste Management Company CEO Babar Din said all workers will work in the field for more than two hours from their shift while cleaning of 266 churches of the city will be ensured before the Easter celebrations.

While manual sweeping and scraping process will be completed exclusively in 78 Christian Colonies. Operational machinery will be active in the field on Good Friday and Easter.

CEO Babar Sahib Din urged citizens to support the LWMC staff to keep the city clean.
