A house owner Saturday injured after a disabled thief opened fire on him after being caught red-handed in Multan, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Saturday.

According to details, while retrieving goods from the sack after being caught red handed, the thief took out a modern weapon and opened fire on the home owner wounding him seriously.

The disabled thief was working as servant in the house and managed to flee after attacking the owner.

The injured has been identified as Ghulam Shabbir, police said.

As per police, the injured has been taken to Nishtar Hospital for treatment.

Ghulam Shabbir was shot in the left eye and in the left shoulder.

SHO Makhdoom Rashid said the case has been registered and the thief has been identified as Arshad.

SHO Mumtaz Qureshi said the accused will be in police custody soon.
