Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) will hold a public gathering in Bahawalpur today (Saturday) to show off its political strength, reported 24NewsHD TV channel. 

Punjab Chief Minister Hamza Shehbaz and PML-N Vice-President Maryam Nawaz will address the rally at 6:00 in the evening. 

Arrangements have also been made in view of CM Hamza’s visit to Cholistan desert, Victoria and Sir Sadiq hospitals and Central Jail.  

Besides taking elaborate security measures, police have announced routes for reaching the Dring Stadium, venue for the event. 

People have been asked to park their cars at Lorry Adda and walk to the stadium.

On May 24 last, the PML-N had decided not to hold further public rallies as Section 144 had been imposed throughout Punjab due to the PTI’s long march.

The ruling PML-N had temporarily suspended its public engagement campaign and announced that the party will not hold any more jalsas for now.

Section 144 had been enforced in Punjab prohibiting all kinds of public gatherings.

On Monday last, the PML-N had cancelled its Okara rally due to ‘bad weather’ where Maryam Nawaz Hamza Shehbaz were scheduled to address the public.
