Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Fazl (JUI-F) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman said on Saturday that there would be no deal or ‘dheel’ (concession) to Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan.
Talking to 24NewsHD TV channel on telephone, Maulana said that general elections in the country would be held on time.
“The resurrection of the country’s economy and electoral reforms are a priority for the new government,” he said, adding, “We will put the country back on track by introducing such a system wherein there will be civilian supremacy as well of the Constitution.”
Calling Imran an ‘artificial’ character, Fazl was of the view that he could not stand the test of time and would soon give up.
PM Shehbaz’s address exposed PTI govt’s ‘flawed’ policies: Fazl
Later in a statement, while commenting on Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s address to the nation yesterday, Maulana Fazlur Rehman said that he had laid bare Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) government’s ‘flawed’ economic and foreign policies so that the people could know that the aftershocks of these policies would be felt for months to come.
He was of the view that it was only by restoring the confidence of people in the country’s current leadership that the crises created under the PTI government could be overcome.
He claimed that the steps taken by the coalition government so far for strengthening the economy and restoring the international community’s confidence in Pakistan would prove to be the first step towards a strong economy.
Earlier, Maulana Fazl had said Imran Khan’s long march against the sitting coalition government was worthless.
Maulana Fazl had said no one can break the record of JUI’s long march, adding that PTI people will go to Islamabad just to kill flies as their long march had no worth.
The JUI chief said politically Imran Khan is a corpse; even if millions of people come to Islamabad, they cannot make this alive. The JUI-F chief said there was no democratic government in Balochistan. International powers wanted to divide the county, he added.
Maulana Fazl had said Imran Khan was working on an agenda of dividing Pakistan. He said his party will throw out the Jews’ agents from the country.
