Polio vaccination campaign deferred in Lakki Marwat

The third anti-polio campaign of this year started on Monday (today), which will kick off in 36 districts across the country including nine of Punjab, eight of Sindh, six of Balochistan and Islamabad, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
For the polio vaccination campaign, a target of 13.5 million children under the age of five has been set, and more than 100,000 trained "health guards" will take part in the drive.
Similarly, a five-day anti-polio campaign has begun in Bannu.
Anti-polio drops will be administered to 253, 274 children in the city as part of the campaign.
Meanwhile, throughout the polio campaign, more than 1,100 teams will be engaged in anti-polio campaign.
Moreover, 2,600 police personnel were deployed who will escort the polio teams during the campaign.
On the contrary, the polio campaign was postponed in Lakki Marwat due to poor and unfavourable law and order situation in the city.
