PA Opposition leader urges Speaker Malik Ahmed Khan to allow Sohail Afridi’s meeting with Imran Khan
Opposition Leader Moeen Qureshi has appealed Punjab Assembly Speaker Malik Muhammad Ahmed Khan for party leadership’s meeting with PTI founder Imran Khan, reported 24NewsHD TV Channel.
Addressing Punjab assembly session, Moeen Qureshi said Chief Minister of KP Sohail Afridi wanted to meet Khan Sahib with the order of Islamabad High Court order but he was being denied the meeting.
Moeen Qureshi said KP was the province that sacrificed the most in the war on terror. He said what message does it send when the Chief Minister with a two-thirds majority is not allowed to meet Khan Sahib.
Moeen said the country was currently going through a critical phase. He said Afghans who have become India's proxies were interfering in KP and Balochistan.
He urged the government to unite the people within the country as sans it we cannot fight the enemies. Qureshi said MPAs who were elected reached the House with five percent votes. He said the government of Form 47 was fomenting chaos.
Qureshi strongly condemned government action regarding imposing of ban on meeting of KP CM with Khan Sahib. He said according to jail manual, an elected MPAs can meet whenever he wants it.
Moeen Qureshi said terrorists and dacoits in Adiala Jail have rights to meet their lawyers and family, but no one is being allowed to meet the party chairman. He demanded that PTI lawyers should be allowed to meet Khan's sister and family.
