As many as 21 schoolteachers were sacked for continuously remaining absent from duty, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Friday.

As per the official sources, the Education Department took notice of the continuous absence of 21 teachers, 17 of whom were female, from duty.

District Education Officer Gulsher Soomro issued a notification for the dismissal of the 21 teachers.

“Despite continuous directions, the employees who did not respond have been dismissed from their jobs under the Sindh Servant Rule,” he said.
