‘The Donkey King’ makes its way to Netflix

Pakistan’s highest-grossing animated comedy film, ‘The Donkey King’ after exploring territories around the globe, makes its way to Netflix (Africa), with dubbed release in the English Language.

The political satire that hit cinemas in 2018, smashed box office records and has been the only Pakistani film to get theatrical release in 12 countries besides being available on Amazon Prime in the USA & UK.

Having been released in different countries in different languages, the film has also opened great avenues for the Pakistani film industry, penetrating global markets with its phenomenal success.

The Donkey King follows Mangu’s unusual story, a donkey, who becomes a king by chance. 

Produced by Geo Films and Talisman Studios, the film features the voices of Jan Rambo, Ismail Tara, Hina Dilpazeer, Ghulam Mohiuddin, and Jawed Sheikh.

The Donkey King was released in cinemas in 2018 and has been the only Pakistani film to explore territories around the globe, having been released in different countries in different languages. 

Setting new benchmarks for the Pakistani film industry, the 1 hour 45 minutes of pure comedy and political satire follows the story of Mangu, a donkey who becomes king by chance.
