Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) has expressed concern over the harassment of its polling agents at the hands of Rangers.
PPP senior leader Senator Taj Haidar said that harassing the polling agent was a condemnable act.
He said Pakistan Rangers’ deployment was to maintain security and not for harassing the polling agents. He said blaming someone just for having some money was condemnable.
Earlier it was reported that Rangers personnel caught two workers of a party for trying to bribe RO in the NA-249 by-election.
The arrested workers, however, said they wanted to hand over the cash to their polling agents so that they can arrange Iftar and were going to the RO office when they were caught by the Rangers personnel.
