A man in Karachi received the shock of his life when he landed in a police lockup moments before his marriage, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Monday.

Members of the groom’s family, led by his grandfather, reached Jamshed Quarter police station with his Sherwani and shouted slogans demanding his release.

However, the protestors dispersed after the police threatened them with arrest.

Police said that Usama was taken into custody on the complaint of his sister-in-law Noor Fatima who had alleged that he would torture her.

The case was registered against the groom only two days before he was going to marry, the Force informed.
