Babar and Rizwan likely to miss Bangladesh T20 series after New Zealand tour

Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is planning to drop once again former captains and senior batters Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan for the T20 series against Bangladesh.

This policy aligns with the PCB’s new strategy of testing new leadership and fresh talent, as was seen during the recent T20I series against New Zealand, where Salman Ali Agha was appointed captain, replacing Rizwan.

According to sources close to the selection committee, the two seasoned cricketers are not part of the selectors’ current plans for the five-match T20I series.

The five-match T20I series against Bangladesh is scheduled to be played from May 25 to June 3, with the first two matches set to take place in Faisalabad, while Lahore will host the final three games.

The Pakistan Cricket Board is expected to officially announce the series schedule in the coming days.
