US dollar knocks down Pakistani rupee, rises to historic level

The US dollar knocked down the Pakistani rupee and its exchange rate reached a historic level of Rs178.24 on Wednesday.
According to the 24News HD TV channel, the American dollar did not depreciate but continued to rise in the interbank and open market.
The State Bank of Pakistan issued a new dollar value of gaining another five paisas against the Pakistani rupee in the interbank market.
As per the new rates of the State Bank of Pakistan, in the interbank market, the dollar has risen from Rs 178.19 to Rs 178.24.
